We’re celebrating after receiving two honours at the 2010 Yorkshire and Lincolnshire CIPR Pride Awards, which rewards outstanding achievement in public relations and communications.
After being nominated for four awards, our ‘Oooh... what a beauty’ campaign for cosmetics company Badgequo won the silver award in the best consumer relations category. We were also awarded a silver accolade in the not-for-profit category for the public relations activity we conducted on behalf of the historic railway company, Middleton Railway.
Brand8 PR’s managing director, Rob Smith, said: “We’re thrilled to have won two silver awards at this year’s ceremony and it’s great that the Brand8 PR team has been recognised by industry peers.
“The competition at this year’s awards was particularly strong and our two awards are a testament to the ability and commitment of the Brand8 PR team.”
As well as winning the two silver awards, we were also finalists in the integrated communications category for our ‘I am White Rose’ campaign for the White Rose shopping centre and in the corporate and business communications category for our ‘Building sales for Steadmans’ campaign.
The CIPR Pride Awards showcase the most successful and effective PR work being carried out across the UK. This year’s ceremony was held at Saviles Hall in Leeds and was attended by over 200 PR professionals from Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
